News News News!

I am not spam!!!
Does anyone know why for the second time this blog has been claimed to be SPAM!? I must be doing something wrong SOMEHOW!

Erm, anywho, I am extremely excited to announce a few things to you all (whomever is actually reading this). First things first, my professor relayed an e-mail to me from the director of Extreme Makeover Home Edition. Apparently, the director is looking for some SCAD students to participate in a few murals for the new home they will be constructing in Gainsville, Fl. The first thing I thought of was the mural I did for Nick Lacy's room over the summer with the gator's head in it!! So I calmed down and e-mailed the director. I sent him a follow up this morning, and I am waiting to hear back. What a blessing would that be!! To be a part of that show, helping families get back on their feet or helping people who have done so much in the lives of others and deserve something back. I am more than anxious about hearing back from someone.

In other news, Nick and I are GOING TO DISNEY THIS WEEKEND!! We are visiting his sister, Chessy, who is in the Disney College Program. Not only do we get to spend some time with her, but we will ride some rides and enjoy the Disney atmosphere! Oh how I love Disney World. I shall be bringing my work along with me to show whoever wants to take the moment to listen. I will also bring my business cards to flaunt around and hand out. How exciting!

Well, I'd better go. It's time to get ready for work. In the meantime, if you do happen to read this, please say a prayer about this potential job opportunity, and if you don't pray, then just think of me. This would be incredible. And while it's not a paying job persay, it is AMAZING exposure. Thank you all for reading!

Love, Mo.

Christmas Party Invitations

Hello world!
It's me again.

So today, I completed Megan's Christmas party invites. I was going to draw Rudolph myself, however I found out all the cintiq's are unavailable to students while school is out. So, instead, I found this cute illustration that was an album cover of some sort. Once I find the origin of the drawing, I can give credit where credit is due! So far, however, I am coming up short.

Either way, I kinda like the outcome. Your opinions are welcomed :)

That's it for now. Hopefully I can work on more pieces as the week progresses! Might be heading to Disney this weekend, and you can guarantee I will be bringing my business cards, mailers, resume and portfolio to show ANY employee that is willing to listen.

Love, Mo

Hi world!

Just wanting to say good afternoon. Took the woofs on a walk through the cold today here in Savannah, GA. Not able to work on much considering I work tonight, but tomorrow will be a better day to complete Megan's Christmas Party invites.

In the meantime, here is a shot of Abbey and Riley sleeping this morning, keeping mommy warm.

Have a great day all!

My first ever blog!

GO ME!

This is my first blogger entry. I feel so hip!

Well I am about to begin work on my first piece outside of college. It is an invitation to a Christmas party my dear friends are throwing this year, and I am lucky enough to design their invites! I shall be posting the work in-progress so any critiquing is welcomed :) Rudolph with a martini is my first glorious idea, and I can go from there.

Other than that, life is grand! My dogs, Abbey and Riley, are doing fantastic! So good in fact that they ill be treated to the DP today when Nick gets home from work (that's 'Dog Park' in my language). Have a blessed day!
